Sustainability, a key pillar of the wine sector's future

Manuel is an experienced winemaker and CEO with a global work experience in several countries.

Since September 2019, he has been the CEO of Almaviva in Chile, an exceptional wine born from the profound alliance between two historical wine families Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Concha y Toro.

His previous position was CEO Tenute del Mondo, the Wine division of SPI Group, where is was in charge of Achaval Ferrer in Argentina, Propiedad de Arínzano and Board Member of Tenute di Toscana (Masseto, Ornellaia, Luce della Vite and Castelgiocondo). Before that Manuel was Estate Director of Numanthia in Spain. Numanthia notoriety given by Termanthia 2004, one of the 5 first Spanish wines with 100 points RP &Termes 2005 #2 Top 100 by WS.
Within Moët Hennessy Companies, he worked for over 18 years.

Manuel holds an Agriculture Engineer degree and a post-graduate degree in Winemaking as well as a PAD (High Management Program) by FAD & Harvard Business School.
He has a wealth of experience in the Wine Industry as he is the fourth generation of a Portuguese family that owns a wine business in Portugal.
