Álvaro is a prominently qualified Spanish professional with strong communicative skills and high levels of and enthusiasm. He has previous experience in different areas of the wine industry, including sales, product development, marketing, hospitality, retail and wine buying. He has also experience in education, training, public speaking and promotion of private and public enterprises. He is the fifth Spanish person in history to become a Master of Wine and the first Catalan. He is keen to develop his professional career in Spain with both domestic and foreign companies.

He is an undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering by Polytechnical University of Catalunya (UPC) Barcelona, Spain. He also has a Msc Queality Engineering Management by London South University.

He currently works as a freelance wine expert, and running seminars, masterclass and other educational presentations, and as a port of call and closely with sales and marketing teams in Indigo Wine.

He has a wide professional career. He was in charge of a many position. In Indigo Wine works as a Sales Manager and Business Development Director as well. And in Borough Wine as a Wholesale Manager and Wine Buyer in 2012-2013.

He is able to speak English, Spanish, Catalan, Italian, French and Portuguese.
